The long- lasting Art.

The human body since the dawn of human history has been the subject of creators and artists curiosity. It was an inspiration, tool of expression. As an art form of decorating the body, tattoo in the second of 20th century started being appreciated (until then he evolved in content, once desirable, later condemned, depending of age and culture).

It happened thanks to changes of mentality and attitude, regarding the perception of physicality in art and treating it as a new media in the process of social communication.

Tattoo is representative of many cultures.

Our homeland doesn't have great traditions in the matter of tattooing. We waited until official changes after the political transformation, that is quite recently, where opened before us borders of changes of cultural and social resources. Although the media gradually work to promote new behaviors and models from west, in mentality of distrustful older generation, tattoo was a harmful artifact. His history is very long and convoluted, but yet to this day some people have a pejorative relationship to it. Tattoo is being associated with the prison and crime, but the artistic one has a separate genesis and a place in the culture.

The artistic tattoo can be understood as an outstanding work performed on a unique material-skin. Artistic value, technical possibilities and designs are speaking for it. The idea, the purpose and the reason dependent on the man and his intention of the presentation of the tattoo on oneself are deciding about his existence as form of art. Our imagination is the only restriction on the choice of theme and design. For many, a tattoo has become a form of fashion, form far departed from the art- lame. Tattoo is not the matter of the fashion or the appearance. The definition of the art is able to be very capacious, art supposed to stir up emotions. Therefore it is impossible to call the ordinary copied design the art, all the more if aimlessly we want to decorate our body.

When tattoo artist is impersonating the role of the craftsman, he’s leading the dialogue with his human-material, client. These two people are dependent on each other, this is the unique artistry of tattooing. In other areas, such as painting or sculpture, the artist does not need to communicate with the material, unless it is such a need arising from psychotic disorders. Through the clash of talent, skills and character, artistic work is being created.
